Sex Holidays - Who *really* Pays for Them?

Feb 20, 2001 - © Moira Richards

Ever wondered what a sex holiday is? A romantic second honeymoon with your spouse ... ?  Your first honeymoon? No it isn't!

Imagine that you're a pretty little thirteen-year-old girl, and that you live well below the breadline in some Eastern European or Third World country. And maybe you only survive because of men who are willing to pay for sex. Or perhaps your family sold you to the owner of a brothel so they could buy food for your brothers, and you have no choice but to work as a prostitute for your new 'owner'.

Imagine that you're a wealthy man in a civilized Western country, where children are protected by law from sexual abuse and exploitation. Perhaps you are a fine upstanding member of the community too. But what you really like to do, that no-one else knows about, is to have sex with little girls, and you're prepared to pay good money for the fun and excitement of it - even more money for a young virgin, because then there's hardly any chance of catching some nasty disease from her, like HIV/AIDS.

Imagine that you're a businessman with a sharp eye for a profitable opportunity. You've found the supply, you've found the demand, all you have to do is get a package tour together. You distribute glossy brochures in a Western country, that advertise 'exotic' holidays in an impoverished, say, Asian country. You might also set up a discreetly worded, lavishly illustrated website on the internet.

The businessman makes all the arrangements and delivers this tour service to wealthy westerners and he makes a fine profit out of the deal. The wealthy westerner gets to rape a few kids in a foreign country and goes home feeling that his money was very well spent.

And what about the little girls? If they're lucky, they might get a very small share of the money that changed hands. Other than that, they get to provide the sex, but they get no holiday.
