Well, lets begin at the beginning. All the beauty journals that you subscribe to and every other TV commercial you see prescribes products based on the type of your hair. How exactly do you find out what type your hair is? Simple.

After washing your hair, wipe it firmly with a soft towel. Comb your fingers throughout your hair beginning from the scalp; using the same fingers, press down on a piece of tissue. The amount of oiliness you see before you on the paper shows the telltale signs of the state of your hair.

If there are no oil spots, you have dry hair. A slight oiliness and you are one of the fortunate few to be blessed with normal hair. And if the tissue is dripping wet, then your hair definitely belongs to the oily type.

Asians normally use oil as an essential part of their hair care routine. Try it out; it works great as a massage aid.
