In march 1999, Mr. Henderson, a deer hunter, protested to remove a wolf, which some how has entered the area, which is considered to be favourite for deer hunters. The wolf has killed many of the deer present in the area and the deer hunters are facing difficulty in deer hunting season. Another hindrance in their way is that they cannot kill the wolf themselves, as their is a fine of about US$500 on killing a wolf. So Mr. Henderson went to the wildlife office and updated them about the situation. The wildlife officer immediately arranged a patrol party, to transport the wolf in its natural environment, as the wolves extinct in the area. After inspecting the area, and patrolling for a few days, the wildlife officer found that all the deer found dead, were not actually killed by a wolf, but there was a man behind all this. The man was actually using his dog named "savage" to hunt the deer. The quota for hunting deer in deer hunting season was about four deer, which he has already killed and now he was using his dog to hunt. His dog, which was a German shepherd in breed, almost looked like a wolf. So when people saw it hunting they thought that its a wolf. The wildlife officer caught the culprit red handed when he was releasing his dog after a deer, in an evening. He was arrested immediately and was kept in jail for a few days. He was released after receiving a fine of US$700, and was banned to hunt deer for ten years. After this incident hunters are not allowed to hunt with dogs, and this was all done on the request of Mr. Henderson. Mr. Anderson and the wildlife officer were rewarded by the wildlife department on removing disgrace of wolves. Go To Page: 1
