Winter Fun Indoors in Wisconsin

Is the cold of northern winter getting to you? Are you longing to lie in the heat on your beach blanket while watching the kids play in the water? Do you dream of spending a day treating yourself to all the luxuries of a spa? Does your budget say "No!" to all of the above? Does it all seem too far away and out of your reach?

Think again. You may be able to afford to take yourself and your family to play in the water and enjoy a fun weekend. A luxurious day at a spa, with massage, body wraps, or other specialties may not be so far away as you think. Stay home in Wisconsin and enjoy you winter weekend without having to travel across the country.

Wisconsin Dells, home of the famous Noah's Ark Waterpark, is where indoor waterparks began. There are now at least eighteen hotels offering indoor waterparks. These will vary from one hotel to another, but all have at least a minimum of water slides and interactive water playgrounds. Many of them have facilities as good as other location feature outdoors.

Wisconsin Dells is just 55 miles north of Madison and 116 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Make your reservations for an off-season vacation playing in the water and enjoying the other attractions offered, even in the off-season in the Dells area. For most of the waterparks, you need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the attractions. Two, The Kalahari and Treasure Island parks, sell day passes.

Most of the hotels also keep at least one of their outdoor heated pools open as well as the Jacuzzis. Those in the know will tell you there is nothing more fun than relaxing in a hot Jacuzzi while the snow falls around you.

The Dells is not the only location in Wisconsin to find indoor waterparks. There are now hotels across the state featuring water fun year around. Find them in Madison, Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, Green Bay, and Minaqua.

Ladies, does the man in your life think winter is the time to get out and get cold? Does he wait for enough snow to ski or snowmobile? Is ice fishing or skating of prime importance?

If these are not the way you would enjoy spending a cold winter day, you now have an option. Let him go his way, bundled up for the cold. You can make a reservation to spend an hour, a day, or a weekend at a spa luxuriating in being pampered.
