Flavors of Merlot.

Merlot Is grape varietal originated in France. The wine produced is purple in color, full bodied with a blackberry flavor. Other flavors you might find are current, plum, toast, oak, black pepper, smoky, and you might find a hint of chocolate.

Merlot is usually blended with a Cabernet Sauvignon grape. The Merlot grape matures faster and is less tannic then the Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot as a wine is round, rather soft fruitiness, and low in tannin.
