Blind Tasting of four Chardonnays:

Turning Leaf. $12.45

Jackson Triggs. $8.65

Mission Hill. $11.45

Sabastiani. $14.95

1) The Sabastiani Chardonnay 1995, Sonoma County and was definitely the favorite of the evening.

2) Second place was a tie between the Turning Leaf 1994, California. and the Mission Hill 1995, British Columbia. I personally preferred the finish on the Turning Leaf Chardonnay.

3) Third place was the Jackson Triggs 1995, British Columbia.

Note: These Chardonnay are at an excellent price point. For people that do not consider price a issue I recommend J Lohr Estates Chardonnay. Monterey.

Five people participated in this tasting at my home. I highly suggest throwing a tasting in your home with some close friend. This is also a good opportunity to start a personal tasting book. For your personal tasting notebook you can find blank tasting sheets you can print out in my The Stages Of Tasting section.
