MIME:
Multiple Internet Mail Extensions.
This is standard way of encoding attachment to mails so that the users
of different email programs can still send each other files without encountering
any problems converting them.
MODEM:
The magic box tricks that turns
your computer's data into a signal that can be sent over a phone line.
Also converts incoming signals the other way.
MULTIMEDIA:
Any combination of pictures, words,
sound and animation is know as Multimedia.

NETIQUETTE:
The etiquette to be observed when
communicating on the Net.
NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR:
The web browser that was responsible
for making the web usable. It once had 80% of the market shares, but that
was before Microsoft Corporation took notice of the Net.
NEWSFEED:
Regular news updates that come from
reliable sources (such as news agencies) about a specified topic.
NEWSGROUPS:
Public discussion groups where people
can read messages posted by others, contribute their own ideas and talk
to like-minded people. There are thousands of newsgroups on the Net, covering
a multitude of subjects.
NEWSREADERS:
These enable you to read messages
from and send messages to newsgroups. Watch out for Free Agent (for windows)
and New-Shopper (for Macs).
