Seems a husband and wife will be facing child-endangerment charges. All due to the fact they were harboring a raccoon as a pet. Unfortunately that "pet" raccoon tested positive for rabies. Now all 11 members of the family and a social worker, all of whom were exposed to the raccoon, are receiving rabies inoculations.
The couple was charged with nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child and also possessing the raccoon without a permit. According to officials, the couple had been repeatedly warned about the raccoon.
