The top ten most common myths regarding wildlife:
1) Parents will automatically reject their young if humans have touched their young. 2) Fawns found lying still in the grass must be hurt and need help. 3) Mothers of fawns lying still in the grass must be dead because the fawn is alone. 4) Baby rabbits hopping around in the grass must be lost and can't find their way home to their mother, so you should chase them all over the yard to catch them so you can take care of them. 5) Should you catch wild baby rabbits, you should feed them sugar water and milk every couple hours so they don't die of starvation. 6) Bats make nests or get tangled in peoples' hair when they are out flying around because the bats don't see well. 7) All babies need milk so that is the first thing anything should be fed when you find it alone, without its mother. 8) Anyone can raise a baby bird by feeding it bread soaked in milk. 9) Baby animals will never bite you. 10) Once a wild baby is left alone, the parents will never come back for it. PLEASE don't believe any of them! Go To Page: 1
