Capturing Wildlife and Nature

I have gathered a few sites that may be of interest to all you photography buffs. Viewing nature is incredible but so is capturing the unexpected on film that you can view forever.

Last week I walked out into a field behind my house to try and capture a photo of a couple sand hill cranes. I didn't get very close to them as they squawked, got mad and flew away from me. I've been told that this species is unusual in our area. I have yet to learn more about them and with any luck get closer for a really good photo. Something tells me they were mating and who knows...may see some little ones voicing their sound before long.

Nature Photo Gallery is a grand place. Others can rate your photo and help you in your endeavors. I have posted a couple photos there but mine don't compare to the vast amount of artistic people portraying their art. I most definately need to practice on my shooting skills this summer.

Wild Things Photography has some interesting shots of wildlife, scenery and more. You can even get tips on improving your skills.

Nature Photographers has some good articles but there is a fee to their Network News where you can get some great benefits.

Lucid Images Wildlife Photography is not a place to pass up. Not only do they feature some awesome wildlife photos but their screensaver is a must.

I have a passion for viewing bears. I will do whatever it takes to get up close and personal just for that quick pic.
Grizzly Bear Nature Photography is my kind of website. Not only do they portray bears but other wonders of wildlife.
NaturesImages by Mark Picard. Another great site featuring my favorite...the bear.

This is just a few of the many places to visit that have captured the wonders of nature and wildlife. In June I plan on going back to Cody, Wyoming, and camping at my favorite campground, Three Mile, which lies just three miles out of Yellowstone Park. Always a grizzly near by and how can I resist that shutter button on my camera?!
View my day to day bear activity from last summer here. I'm hoping I have a better adventure this year.
