Relating to Deitycrazy. It will when you begin making connections with deities, too. Perhaps all Pagans are a bit crazy, who knows? Loki didn't reveal himself to me until about three years ago. I'd felt the presence of a God in my rituals, and similar experience to what had happened while I was getting to know Bridget with the meditations and dreams. I searched very hard for his name, but it seemed like he just didn't want to give it to me. Eventually, though, I realized who it was. I'm not sure why he waited so long. Perhaps it was because Loki is a trickster god with a bad reputation in Norse mythology and he was concerned I'd be afraid of him. Folks who have developed connections with other "dark" or "violent" gods have related similar experiences. Where Bridget inspires me, Loki reminds me to play. He brings creative mischief into my life, and Bridget brings poetry. They complement two completely different aspects of myself, and that's working nicely for me. The relationship was initiated more from their side than mine, and that's something else that seems to be universally Pagan. So if you feel drawn to a particular deity and you don't know why, or you start having strange dreams where you feel someone's trying to communicate to you, perhaps (as my online friends like to say) you're being thwapped by a God. It should be pretty obvious from my story that I have no qualms about mixing cultural pantheons in working with Gods. Some believe that it's better to stick within one group (Greek, Norse, Celtic, etc), but I really didn't get a choice in the matter. I do recommend, when starting out, to work with one pantheon at a time to see if any of the Gods strike a chord with you. This is just for the sake of practicality, to keep your focus. There are so many Gods to choose from that narrowing it down to a pantheon will make it easier for you to do the research and ritual work. I also recommend exploring pantheons that aren't "traditionally" Pagan. There are a lot of interesting myths in the Aztec and Mayan cultures, for example, as well as in ancient Asian religions. For that matter, you could work on developing stronger relationships with Jesus or Jehovah, though working with those deities may be difficult from a duotheistic standpoint since, according to Christian myth,
