On the Internet Movie Database's (IMDb's) entry for the actress, Andersen's date of death is listed as May 18, 1997 and the cause is accidental overdose of alcohol and drugs. Since it has been more than six months since the editor of this column first contacted IMDd with this information, it is likely the IMDb made every effort to confirm the information before posting it.
