Holiday Appetizers

This week I'd like to share two new recipes with you that I like to make for the holidays. It's a tradition at our house to dine on a feast of appetizers on Christmas Eve. I look forward to it every year. So, here are two appetizers that would go beautifully on a buffet table this holiday season.

The first, Hot Crab Dip, is a recipe I came across last year and prepared as an appetizer to our Thanksgiving feast. It was so delicious (an obvious five-star dish) that it's become a regular on our menu of Thanksgiving fare. And I'll be making it this year for our Christmas Eve buffet.

The other recipe is for Honey BBQ wings. This glaze is really tasty, and the baked wings came out tender and juicy. A great, if a bit messy, finger food for a holiday party. Just make sure to put out extra napkins. This appetizer rates four stars with us.

Don't forget to add our favorite Crab Rangoon to the mix of tasty treats. This one has been a Christmas Eve regular for years.

If you are looking for recipes for Christmas dinners or desserts, please check out these links from the online site for Woman's Day magazine. The desserts include recipes for Santa cookies, a Santa cake, icing, and tuxedo strawberries. The Christmas dinner recipes contain crown roast of pork, classic potato gratin, sweet & sour red cabbage, and more.

Have fun planning your holiday meal!

Have a good week and good eating!
Allison
