Sesame Pork with Garlic Cream Sauce

I feel like I’ve been in a slight slump lately as far as finding tasty new meals. It seems that I’ve hit upon quite a few losers recently. This is another that didn’t make it into my vault of regular dishes. This dish sounded interesting, and I thought it would taste good as well. I was wrong. This one just had a weird taste to it. My husband and I gave it two and a half stars.

I sure hope I hit upon another winner soon. Maybe I need to search for more Mexican dishes—I seem to have good luck with those.

Have a good week and good eating!
Allison

Sesame Pork w/Garlic Cream Sauce1/2

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:
1-1/2 lbs. pork tenderloin
2 Tbsp. canola oil
¼ cup sesame seed
1 Tbsp. margarine
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. freeze-dried chives

Preparation:
Cut pork crosswise into 12 slices. Flatten slices to ½-inch thickness. Set oven to broil. Brush pork with oil. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seed. Broil pork with tops 4-6 inches from heat for 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seed. Broil about 5 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink. Melt margarine in skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in margarine about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Add cream cheese and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve sauce with pork.
