Burgers 'N' Fries Casserole

This week I tried a recipe that I'll call Burgers 'N' Fries Casserole. The picture looked appetizing, and the dish was described as appealing to kids. I also picked this recipe because it was an extremely simple meal to prepare. It contains only four ingredients: ground beef, French fries, condensed golden mushroom soup, and condensed cheddar cheese soup. Could you ask for anything simpler? Well, apparently, simple is not always best. This was an easy meal to throw together, but I don't think I'll be making it again.

My husband added ketchup and mustard to his, since the dish was supposed to be like having a burger and fries. He said that helped it somewhat. I didn't add any condiments to mine. It was all right just the way it was. My husband and I settled on a two-star rating for "Just ok." It was edible; we'll give it that. Now, my daughter, on the other hand, just loved it. She's 4 and somewhat picky. She went back for seconds. So, I would definitely recommend this as a meal for the kiddies. Maybe make this one night for the children, while you and your spouse have a romantic steak dinner for two after the kids go to bed.

Have a good week and good eating!
Allison
