It's getting time for a Cowboy Christmas, yes, it is. It's only September (midway), and almost the end of summer. So, get out your thinking hat (Stetson) of course, pull out the quill pen and coarse paper, and get cracking.
What kind of goodies can we find for those special loved ones who can't live without a Cowboy/Indian/Ranching style item to fill the wall, safe or shelf? If the cowpoke (boy or girl) in your life likes books, Bobby Copeland has released a great Wild Bill Elliot volume. He also has available his tribute to the dead stars-their grave markers and grave sites. You can contact him at copeland@icx.net. Tell him that Tim sent you. He may even autograph the book for you. If you are a full western aficionado, contact McFarland and Company Inc, their catalogue is jam packed with awesome reference books. Again, you can browse their selection at http://www.mcfarlandpub.com. I am working at having a book published there. Pictures-they're worth a thousand words, or $ 29.95 on ebay. Artwork can be a great gift. Styles can range from Charlie Russell to the Group of Seven (Canadian) to etchings in steel or barbwire. To find some more obscure artwork, try amazon.com, they have an association with Sotheby's and as a result list outstanding items. Movies. What more can you say? I watched one last week, San Antonio with Errol Flynn, and Alexis Smith. Other actors included Alan Hale in a cameo, and Tom Tyler (Captain Marvel).
