Wagon Wheels and Western Tales

"Whatever happened to Randolph Scott, riding the trail alone?"

That is a good question, and one that begs answering. Growing up in our respective generations, we had our heroes. Our hearing perks up when the radio announcer booms out, "another old timer has gone up to the round up in the sky"; our attention is drawn to the evening news when a brief filmography/highlight reel celebrating the life and times of (fill in the blank here). You turn to your spouse/friend, And comment how you used to go to matinees and see ( ). You feel a little loss, then go on with your daily life.

The bad news is that we all die.

The good news is that we can alter lives prior to our heroes passing. Those that survive either look at their departed comrades and whisper a prayer for them, or they count their lucky stars and schedule another festival, and hope that they can make that appearance.

Such is the world of movie festivals, and the stars that frequent them.

The 'working' years of many stars have come and gone. Some stars have left the bright lights and gone to work behind the scenes, some have returned to 'normal' life. And then there are those who toiled in the lights, and now are basking in the after glow of movie festivals, and nostalgia magazines that seek to answer the fan question, "Whatever happened to...?".
"What was it like working with...?"

There are many fine publications that are filled with information, interviews, and articles about and concerning the once living (still famous) and still living (and still famous). There are fan club publications, general publications, western and movie magazines, and a couple of great tabloids. A partial list follows:
