Family TV Award is Tarnished for West Wing

(It has not gone unnoticed that Wells is President of the Writers Guild of America West, another industry group which has much reaon to be sympathetic to SAG and AFTRA -- not the least of which are rumours of a possible strike by their own members next year.)

For want of a moment's discretion, it seems Mr. Clark and the Association of American Advertisers are losing the public relations war on this one. Any opportunity to claim that Janney's remarks were edited out of the final version of the program due to time or other non-political considerations was lost when Clark chose to reassure the executive-heavy audience publicly and on-the-spot.

Yes. Toby would be proud of Allison Janney and John Wells. He would be very proud indeed.
