Learners' Resources: Online Language Lessons
Cymdeithas Madog
The same great folks who organize the annual North American Cwrs Cymraeg also have an array of resources available online for Welsh learners. Some are aimed at those who already know a little Welsh, such as the readings in Welsh and the grammar articles. There are also enjoyable articles in English on topics both serious and lighthearted, but all concerning the Welsh language and all written by Cymdeithas Madog teachers and pupils. Don't miss the list of books for learners, or the Songs section containing lyrics to some favorite Welsh tunes. On a different page is a huge list of links to other Welsh websites.
Phrasebook for Travelers
Just what it says. Simply pick Welsh from the list of languages to choose from, and you'll be presented with Cymraeg i Deithwyr-Welsh for Travelers. If you don't mind being mildly bombarded with advertising, you can view a variety of useful phrases, numbers, directions, and so on. The place names will be of particular interest to travelers. There are also *.au sound files for each word or phrase.
