Learners' Resources: Catchphrase Lessons with CD/CassetteThere is also a cassette of oral-only exercises, related to those in the book but slightly different. There are three or four exercises per lesson, and this is a great supplement to the readings and written practice. With multiple sources of input, I've found it easy to absorb the concepts; this series can accommodate several learning styles at once, which is a major plus when you're self-teaching and don't have access to a classroom or computer software. It's also excellent for use in the car-on long drives, I simply pop in the audio cassettes and listen over and over, pausing only to repeat lines for pronunciation practice. I've gotten the cassettes transferred onto CDs, so navigating back and forth is easy. I highly recommend this series, whether you ultimately go for the original set or the newer ones. If you can afford it and feel you need the practice, maybe think of buying both. The online series is wonderful, but being able to step away from the computer and bring Welsh to your kitchen table, or your car, can really help integrate the language into your life and into your thinking. Then, before you know it, you'll be speaking like a native-or at the very least, confusing your non-Welsh-speaking friends. Buy Catchphrase 1 from Amazon.com Buy Catchphrase 2 from Amazon.com
