Choosing Your Plants (Or Pick a Peck of Pickerel)

Apr 1, 1999 - © Vicki Paull

many plants that are considered "full sun" will grow and bloom in the shade. Water Hyacinths bloom nicely in my shady pond. Not as prolifically as in the sun, but they are lovely anyway. My Parrot's Feather never bloomed, but the ferny, leaves still looked great. So I'm feeling brave, I am going to try a shade tolerant water-lily this year. Take a chance, make your visions of Lily and Lotus come true. Pond on!

This month's "Pondpage Picks" is a collection of sites that includes suppliers as well as further information on plants: These links are provided as a service to you. Please remember, I have not personally done business with all of these links, so the only promise I can make is, you will enjoy visiting them. Don't forget to check out the suppliers listed in the "Best of the Web" section!
