The Hidden Messages in WaterHidden Messages in Water - A Review What if I were to tell you that water has a memory? Or that water reveals its health (or dis-ease) by it's ability to form beautiful crystals at a particular temperature? Or what if I were to explain that new "water" is falling to earth from the cosmos every minute, in the form of ice crystals? These are just some of the ideas expressed in this fascinating little book by Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto; one which approaches the new physics from a different viewpoint, perhaps, but which adds to the findings of others in the scientific community who are trying to describe a radically different view of the universe and our place in it. Water, it turns out, is a unique "element," following some unusual rules, and often downright mysterious. Okay, so where do we begin? How about with the idea that ice which fell to earth millions of years ago in the form of icey meteorites may have contained a "pattern" for the creation of life? I like that one. I happen to believe in the idea that everything was created by God, but I don't pretend to understand the process, and this idea sounds as plausible as many others. Just imagine! A plan for human life, delivered to a waiting planetoid just in the nick of time! Sounds a little like a sci-fi novel, and why not? Life is pretty remarkable and the life "force" is just as inscrutable as ever. Then there's the awesome pictures that Emoto offers to back up his findings. Ugly dirt rings with no power to form crystals are visible in the "dirty" water from many municipal water sources. Water exposed to chlorine has lost its capacity to speak through crystal formation. Lovely, intricate and life-affirming crystals arise when that same water is exposed to loving, healthy thoughts. Experiments done by others indicate that water reacts differently if "ignored," "hated," or "loved." Which brings up the most perplexing question of all: How can water "know" that a particular word or idea is loving and not hateful? The wisdom of water is just one of the many concepts approached in this remarkable little book; a treasure trove for the seeking mind. So, the hidden messages in water aren't quite as hidden now, thanks to the pioneering work of Masaru Emoto and others like him. I highly recommend this stupefying but quick read to anyone looking into the mysterious nature of our universe.
