2001 Recap Challenge

Christmas is over but I like Holiday Shopping Time in Washington. Half price cards and wrap, clothing half price; it's fun to see what you might find before they start loading the shelves with spring merchandise. Do you really have to be putting out Valentine's Day in Washington merchandise, retailers?

My husband, of course, wants to go to the Nordic Heritage Museum. What does he know! Of course, if he tried the Washington State Art Scene, we'd be dancing the same dance. Or if we went to Toppenish - Where the West Still Lives to see some murals that would be even better as it would get me out of the house and away from the computer for a while!

I'd even like to visit where Trolls Greet the Wandering Tourist. Guess you can tell I need a vacation! Roslyn, Washington - aka Cicely, Alaska would be second choice and only two hours away. Okay, I'll settle for a nice stroll around Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge or the Pacific Science Center.

He must be winning the battle as I'm not into shopping anymore. Now I have my sights set on a time with High Tea, Teddy Roosevelt, Stephen King and a Castle.

Want to join me Biking in Washington - What Are the Options? Do you know? Of course, if skiing is your kind of thing this time of year then take a side tour to Leavenworth, Washington's Bavarian Village. Hey, Leavenworth is just the place to shop.

Aha! Back to shopping. Leavenworth is full of wonderful things. I did it! I'm shopping again! I can't think of anything better to do right now, today. I'm shopping, I'm shopping! I have to hurry now. I may miss a good "after Christmas sale!" Or I may miss the last of the wild blackberry pie. Gotta go!
