Naturally, the book came out of my volunteer activities. Joe LaTourrette, the original author, asked me to co-author the book and provide photographs, and then asked me to take over. I added a natural history co-author/editor, Janet O’Mara, Falcon Publishing concurred, and my new career was born.

A: The book is published by Falcon Publishing http://www.falconbooks.com/ , now part of The Globe Pequot Press. It will be available in all major retail outlets and online sites in late July.
