It's in my bones, all the places on the earth in the Northwest corner of Washington State. I live here, I breathe the air here. It is home. It is what I want to share with you through the perspective of a native resident. For starters, visit our WA state government pages at http://access.wa.gov where you will be able to link to tourism pages and a feel for how we live here.
I've been to Mt. St. Helens before the volcano erupted; it tore my heart out. See http://www.azn.com/keekwulee.htm to see a great picture of the mountain. I've spent many days on the ocean walking the beaches. I love the trees here, and really don't like it when folks wonder what the big deal is about cutting old-growth forest. Visit my trees page at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Point... I am expanding it as I can. I walk with nature and enjoy the sights. I fight the traffic through Seattle. I root for the Sonics, the Mariners and the Huskies. Go Huskies! I revere our culture, our neighbors, our wildlife. Living in this area is a commitment. Only Washingtonians can boast of living through 90 straight days of rain this last winter and having the mental health to tell about it. The slugs loved it. We hated it (maybe). We need sunshine! We don't get much! I was looking for a fast plane to the Southwest last winter to see colors other than gray, but I'll always come back. Have a great sense of humor? This is not a western washington site, but it has some great slug pictures. See the slug site and pick up a picture for your screen at http://webelegance.com/slug/slug.html. Then see the sidebar for THE Official Washington State Slug Site. We do love the feel of what living in the Pacific Northwest is like. Most of us (yep, the traffic IS bad through Seattle). We love Starbucks and Batdorf and Bronson coffee. We boast the home of Bill Gates and many more residents who are millionaires due to the local economy. We have beautiful mountains, lots of them. You've got to view the Seattle web cams site listed on the sidebar to get the feel of where and how we live. Washington. This is where I live. This is where I will continue to live. I write as I look at the window at a Bald Eagle flying by. Won't you join me for a view of our great NW Washington State? Go To Page: 1 2
