The Timber Museum at Forks

Logging Museum Sign
of Operation

There's a lot for all of us to see and learn as we visit this museum, open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday and Saturday, June through September. It's open Friday, Saturday and Sunday in April, May and October. Tours are available all year by appointment. Just call (360) 374-9663.

In Closing

Visiting this town and museum is the only way to get the real flavor of the industry that has made or broken the spirit of all who live here - Forks, Washington. You can't separate the town from timber or the spirit of all who dwell here, in memoriam or at work in the forests.

I'm sad as I think of the old-growth forests being cut today, but visiting this museum has given me a greater understanding that what goes on all fits together in the big scheme of life. Life goes on in spite of us.

I'm enriched for the visit.
