The Wallflowers Record a Beatles TuneThe lyrics of "I'm Looking Through You" discuss a romantic relationship gone sour: "I'm looking through you // Where did you go? // I thought I knew you // What did I know? // You don't look different // But you have changed // I'm looking through you // You're not the same." And later: "Why tell me why did you not treat me right? // Love has a nasty habit of disappearing over night." For the full lyrics, go to: "http://www.thebeatlesongs.com/im_looking..." "I'm Looking Through You" was originally recorded by the Beatles in October and November 1965, and was featured on their album “Rubber Soul.” The Beatles’ version lasts a mere 2 minutes and 20 seconds. The original recording features McCartney singing the lead vocal and playing bass guitar, Lennon singing harmony vocal and playing acoustic guitar, George Harrison playing both lead guitar and tambourine, and Ringo Starr playing drums, percussion, and--very surprisingly--a Hammond organ. (Beatles fans didn’t know that Ringo could play any keyboards.) The song was not released as a single. It’s not currently known if the Wallflowers’ version of “I’m Looking Through You” will be released a single. Even if it’s not, the song will give Wallflowers fans something to look forward to when the Year 2002 arrives.
