Choline

Choline is a member of the B-complex family and is a fat emulsifier. It works well with inositol to utilize fats and cholesterol.

Choline is one of the few substances that is able to protect the brain from variations in the daily diet. It goes directly to the brain cells to produce a chemical, which aids in the memory.

Choline also emulsifies cholesterol so it doesn't settle in the arteries or gall bladder.

Other reasons to take Choline would be for sending nerve impulses to the brain for a better memory, to assist in conquering memory loss, to help eliminate poisons and drugs from your system by aiding the liver and to produce a soothing effect.

Without enough Choline in the system, your body may result in cirrhosis of the liver, hardening of the arteries, and Alzheimer's disease.

The best sources for Choline is egg yolks, brain, heart, leafy vegetables, yeast, liver, wheat germ, and there are small amounts in Lecithin.

Some enemies of Choline is water, sulfa drugs, estrogen, food processing, and alcohol.

There are no known toxic amounts.
