How Much Is Too Much What are vitamins without minerals? They all work together for the total health of your body. Without each, your health would be greatly reduced. In some cases, even cause death. Many people know the minerals that their bodies need, but they do not know how much they should take, what exactly it will do for them, and how much is too much. I believe that vitamins and minerals can either make one healthy or not. If the system is missing any essential vitamins and minerals, your body will suffer and so will your immune system. Most vitamins and minerals need "groups" to take, not just one kind. They all make each other work better. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will help you see what works with what. But for right now, the first thing you need to know is how much is too much. How much is toxic to your system? You also need to know, I am no expert. I am not a doctor. Your best bet is to find a medical doctor that believes in the use of vitamins and minerals. Follow his guidance and find out all you can about them. There are a lot of books out there that I have read and I have had, because of my father who was very much into Holistic/Alternative medicine. WHAT ARE MINERALS There are six top minerals that your system needs: Calcium, Iodine, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Zinc. Although there are eighteen known minerals required for your system to work properly, the Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances (RDA) have only recognized the six. The eighteen minerals that your system needs are: Calcium, Chloride, Chromium, Chobalt, Copper, Copper, Fluorine, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, Sulfur, Vanadium, and Zinc. HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH? So how much can a person take before it turns toxic? Calcium is very important for bones and teeth. Almost all the calcium in your system in the bones and teeth. Vitamin D helps to sufficiently absorb calcium into the system. Excessive daily intake of over 2,000mg might lead to hypercalcemia. Chlorine is good in aiding in the digestive system. It also helps keep you limber. Without it, you would lose your hair and teeth. Over 15mg can cause unpleasant side effects. Chromium is very important to help in growth, and keeps diabetes under control. It also helps to prevent and lower high blood pressure. There is no known toxicity.
