our garden design has changed dramatically, and so the bed could use reshaping and rearranging anyway. All of this will go somewhat slowly, because of all the additional time it will take to water all the plants in five large gardens by hand, carrying watering can after watering can from the house. Without the conduit, we have no source of water for any of them. Topping up the big pond ought to be fun! But if we don't have another drought, that should only take about a week, and we have 12 whole weeks of summer. Time to learn all the fine points of Xeriscaping.
I estimate we'll get back to that foundation in about the year 2000. And when that's done maybe we'll finally have time to put the railings on the gazebo we started in 1990.
