Gifts to Soothe the Gardeners' Body and Soul -Part 4
Gardeners love beauty. They would like to be able to relax and enjoy it, but in the summer it seems like they no sooner sit down to contemplate the splendor of the sunflowers when they spot a weed and jump right back up. The only time they really relax is when they get inside where the weeds and the flowers needing deadheading are no longer visible. Then they can begin to relax. So during the gardening season you can be most helpful by providing them with The Gardener's Soak by Crabtree and Evelyn - if they are the type that worry about soft skin. Or if they worry more about aching muscles, how about a Gardener's Bath Tool Set with products to ease tired muscles as well as those to help with the inevitable calluses. And while you are encouraging them to relax in that calming tub, why not provide your favorite gardeners with the ultimate relaxation gift - a great gardening book. They may enjoy lazing away in the tub reading them in summer - but come winter they are the stuff of life - the media that keep us in contact with out favorite activity when Mother Nature has ruled out active participation. There are what seems like an endless supply of gardening books out there - so how do you begin to choose? One way is to think about your intended recipient. Do they like to read anyway? Do you see novels and other signs of pleasure reading scattered about? This type of gardener will love books that are about gardening, but are more of a "good read" than a how-to manual. Great Reads
