Palm Springs CA: Not just a Pretty Face


Palm Springs is known for it's many top rated golf courses and has been called the *Golf Capital of the World" There are golf schools, top celebrity and pro tournaments. There are over a hundred golf courses in the area and more are being built as we speak. There are also the jazziest golf carts I have ever seen.

*Tennis also a primary desert pastime with many tournaments held here. Other sporting activities enjoyed by denziens of the desert are, biking, horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, water sports and even ice-skating. The mall in Palm Desert boasts an indoor skating rink.

As for spectator sports, many celebrity and professional golf and tennis tournaments take place in the desert. There are boxing matches, rodeos, powwows, and Polo is also available to view.

Gardens and Preserves

One just has to drive around the area to see wonderful flowers growing in both public and private gardens throughout the area Birds sing in the flowering trees and bees buzz amongst the blooms. The colors are spectacular, the variety diverse and the scent heady. A treat for all the senses!
