building next door, I bought some wooden forms which had been used to make molds for metal pipe fittings at the Charlestown Navy Yard. Like everything else in the garden, it grew. The photo on the right was taken in 1993.

I love garden statuary and it was difficult to limit myself to two photos. There are more on my homepage. I took great pains to place each piece (of the fourteen or so) in order that he or she doesn't infringe on the others' territories visually or spatially.

Finally, since the garden is pretty much built (at least until something falls down), I have turned (with the help of a new Nikon digital camera) to photographing individual blossoms close-up rather than recording the progress of the garden as a whole, and I must say I am absolutely thrilled with the results!

Beautiful tour!

is that i started all this 18 years ago! who'd have thunk i would still be here? people used to joke that others had albums of their children while i have an album of my garden...well thank goodness ...

Isn't it amazing to look back and see where you've been and what it's grown to?

And aren't you glad in the end that you had to put up that fence? ...
