and found the old woman's house

He asked for shelter and discovered the old woman's daughter was none other than his beloved queen.

Ta^'m then returned to the capital with the king, where she took her rightful place as his first wife and queen.

Meanwhile , Ca'm was completely forgotten by the king and so asked Ta^'m what she could do to get a beautiful skin.

By now Ta^'m realized the evil intention of her half sister, so she advised :" Try to jump into a vat of boiling water." C'am did exactly as she was told and died instantly. When the wicked stepmother learned of Cam's death, she wept miserably and eventually died from a broken heart.

Ta^'m and the King lived the rest of their lives in peace and happiness.

What a beautiful story. The Western Cinderella
is only a part of this moving and complicated
story. It showed the deep spirituality of the Vietnamese culture.
