The official language is Vietnamese but others can also be heard such as French, Chinese, English, Khmer, tribal languages (Mon-Khmer and Malayo-Polynesian). Vietnam 's work force lists about 32.7 million, amongst the different occupations 65% are in agricultural and 35% in industrial and service areas (1990 est.)
