Voice communication through the Internet is the most advanced and latest technology nowadays. This technology was created in the mid of 90s which has increased the value and importance of Internet communication.

Nowadays, voice communications through the Internet is as simple as operating a JAVA based web site. The introduction of JAVA in voice communication has made it easy to manage. It not only helps in communication but also guides us graphically as well. Some companies are also launching their software for communication. These softwares help in video & voice communication. These softwares are easy to use and enhanced in security.

Addition of Fiber-optic cables is another great step in communication. Fiber-optic cables provide an alternative to bulky copper-wire cables in the telecommunications industry. A single pair of light-transmitting optical cables can carry over a thousand conversations simultaneously. Several individual optical cables easily pass through the eye of this needle. (Details about Fiber-optic cable will appear in upcoming aticles)

The requirements for voice communication are modem, sound card(s), software or browser, and better connectivity speed. The requirement of connection speed for voice communication is 28.8 kbps minimum or 33.6 or higher.

Breaking of voice and disturbance is big problem. In some countries, the connection speed is not sufficient to make perfect voice conversations. Another fact of breaking of voice is by disturbance in phone lines. Fully Digital and Fiber-optic cables are solving these problems.

An introduction of video communication will be in the next article.
