If walking in the shadows of Lincoln and Eisenhower doesn't seem Presidential enough for you, you can see more Presidents at the Hall of Presidents and First Ladies Museum, located at 789 Baltimore Street. This remarkable exhibit features wax effigies of our country's chief executives arranged in chronological order, with each President giving a little talk. True, the figures may not be as high-tech as what you'd find at Disney World, but the experience can be educational nonetheless, especially for children. I remember visiting as a youngster decades ago, and the exhibit was so-well organized that by the time I got out, I had all the Presidents memorized. (Ah, if only my mind were as young and fertile today!)

Since that time, a First Ladies exhibit has been added, modeled after the collection of First Ladies' gowns in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. The Hall also contains an exhibit focusing on the Eisenhowers' lives at Gettysburg.

So Gettysburg is not just about the famous Civil War battle. What with Lincoln and Eisenhower and George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt and FDR and the others, it has rewards for the amateur Presidential scholar as well.
