The Ideal Vampire Movie

Vampire Actors
As I mentioned in the Academy Award article, I think Benicio Del Toro would make a fantastic vampire. He's got these mysterious, deep-set eyes, a terrific look and a very compelling quality.
Johnny Depp, too, has wonderful possibilities. He often plays odd and unusual characters, and I find that he generally metamorphasizes quite nicely from role to role. He's also a good-lookin' guy, which doesn't hurt matters any.
Samuel L. Jackson would make one of the most stylish vampires. I think he'd be great.
I also think Ewan McGregor would be a great vampire, but now that he's been cast as Obi Wan and there are still two more "Star Wars" pictures for him to do, I don't think he'd do a vampire movie.
Colin Firth, too, is a possibility. He was so serious and brooding in the "Pride & Prejudice" mini-series and looks so nice in Victorian clothing ... I think he'd be wonderful
Vampire Actresses
One of my top female choices to play a vampire is Helena Bonham Carter. She has presence, she's a wonderful actor and she has that fine, pale, porcelain skin that is synonymous with vampires.
Sigourney Weaver would also be on my list. I think she's a really underrated actor, all things considered, and she would make a terrific vampire.
Another possibility is Angelina Jolie. She has a toughness to her that I really like.
And, maybe not as the lead vampire, but I think singer Bjork could do really well in a supporting role. Talk about metamorphasizing ... everytime I see a picture of her, she looks different. I was also really impressed with her performance in "Dancer in the Dark."
Definite No-No's
And, just for fun, my Top 10 Should-Never-Play-A-Vampire List (in no particular order): 1. Tom Hanks 2. Calista Flockhart 3. Drew Barrymore 4. Keanu Reeves 5. Bette Midler 6. Warren Beatty 7. Jennifer Aniston 8. William Shatner 9. Jackie Chan 10. Helen Hunt.
