The Forsaken (2001)

Sean (Kerr Smith) is driving from Los Angeles to Florida, where he’ll be attending his sister’s wedding. He picks up a hitchhiker, Nick (Brendan Fehr), who turns out to be a Hunter of a group of "bloodletters," i.e., vampires. The Forsaken is directed and written by J.S. Cardone, and distributed by ScreenGems (Sony). The movie was filmed in Utah and Arizona.

Blade: Bloodhunt (2002)

This is the sequel to the 1998 bloodfest. Wesley Snipes is back as Blade, and Kris Kristofferson as Whistler. It's directed by Guillermo del Toro (Mimic, Cronos) and the script was written by David S. Goyer (Blade, The Crow: City of Angels). Production in Czechoslovakia cost $55 million.

John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos (2002)

This is another ScreenGems (Sony) production, and the movie is a sequel of the 1998 film John Carpenter’s Vampires. The only actor returning from the original flick is Tim Guinee, who played Father Adam Guiteau. New cast members include Jon Bon Jovi, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Arly Jover (who played a vampire in Blade), Darius McCrary and Cristian de la Fuente.

The Queen of the Damned (2002)

This article offers a more in-depth look at this movie. Rock band Korn composed music for the movie, specifically for Satan’s Night Out, the band that Lestat fronts in the movie.
