Tell us a bit about yourself?
I now have four sons. Deacon Dwayne is the latest addition. I love writing. It's like a
free ticket to creating whatever you want, how you want. Characters, worlds, whatever
is in your imagination. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to devote to it as I'd
like, especially with a new infant. I plan to get back on track as soon as I start getting a
little more sleep! I love vampires. I have quite a collection of movies. I find them very
dramatic, romantic, and captivating, while at the same time like a forbidden fruit. A very
big no no to the Christian way of thinking. Definitely unacceptable to most mortals.
Where did you come up with the idea for Immortal Desires?
I was sitting at work one day, pondering a book I was already working on, when the
idea just hit me. I had a mental image of Elizabeth meeting Adrien, her unwanted
induction into vampirism, and them together at the end. There was really nothing else
in between, but I knew I had to write it. As soon as I started, everything else just
seemed to flow freely. Other characters, like Mikel, suddenly came to life and became
big influences in my plot.
I understand you are currently working on another book, tell us about it.
Actually, it is the first book I started on, before Immortal Desires. The heroine,
Cheyenne, is an Indian woman who travels through an interplanetary portal to a world
known as Zandar. Because of an ancient prophecy on Zandar which claims that a child
would be born from a woman of the earth that would bring peace to the warring nations
of Zandar, she finds herself the object of desire of two bothers. Different as night and
day, Darian and Chris--also known as Lord Blood--are both used to getting what they
want, and both intend on claiming Cheyenne as their own and fathering the miracle
child. Only one truly falls in love with her and finds himself desperately trying to keep
her out of his brother's clutches--as well as every other hot-blooded Lord and high
ranking official on the planet--long enough to convince her that she has also fallen for
him.
Are you working on any more vampire novels?
My next novel will be about vampires. I plan on bringing back Mikel to modern society.
