You also write a column for BiteMe Magazine, tell us a bit about that.
Actually this article has been held back til August so that it can be given a proper
premier. The article is called "Dear Vampire" and is an advice column for the gothic
and vampire society.
BiteMe Magazine is a vampire fan magazine which lists articles concerning movies, books, and music.
A FEMALE VAMPIRE is your first novel. How did you come up with the idea?
Actually, it was an experiment. I normally write fantasy adventure and never wrote
erotica. One of my fans, who is also a close personal friend, suggested I write an erotic
piece, so I wrote the first chapter and passed it around for a reaction. The reaction was
overwhelming and I was forced to turn it into a full book. The ending was actually a
suggestion of one of the fans.
The vampire being involved was another experiment. I have always liked vampires, but had never written about them. For two experiments wrapped into one I'm very amazed it has done so well. There is a bit of truth to the book as well as three characters are based on real people who have been involved in my life, and I love hearing which characters readers think are the real ones.
Do you consider yourself a vampire author, an author of erotica, or a fantasy/horror
author?
I must admit I still consider myself a fantasy adventure author, and I think 'A Female
Vampire' reflects a bit of that in the action sequences.
You are currently working on several other novels, including a vampire novel, want to
tell us about them?
"The Chosen One" has actually been completed in its second draft and is just waiting
for the polishing touches. It's set in an alternate earth involving fantasy creatures. The
story is about an orphan cat child (humanoid creature) who is raised by a human
mother and seeks out her history while war exists in the cat people's homeland. As she
grows into becoming a warrior she learns how her ancestry is tied with the war and how
