kind or humankind, and he must either choose to ignore the decisions of the vampire
Network or risk his marriage, career, and life to stand for what he believes in. This

Anxiety Publications. How did you come up with that name? I'm an anxious person, so it just seemed to fit, at least according to my partner who thought of the name. Anxiety Publications publishes two print zines. Tell us a little bit about them and your new project of chapbooks. Parchment Symbols is a zine of fantasy, horror, and paranormal romance stories, poetry, and artwork. Recently, a vampire section has been added to Parchment Symbols, as well. It's published annually. Blood Samples is a zine of vampire flash fiction, all stories 150 words or less, and has no set publishing schedule. Right now I'm reading for the third issue. Both zines are photocopied. We're really a micro press. The chapbooks will be similar to the zines, except the covers will be in color. Though we'll consider anything in the horror, fantasy, and paranormal romance genres for the chapbooks, we're leaning heavily toward - surprise - vampire fiction. Anything you would like the readers to know? Just that I always like to hear from anyone who reads my work, what they didn't like about it, what they did like. It's all good to hear. BOOK REVIEWS The Darkness Therein Six hundred years ago, Gamel created a vampire companion, Edrick, to ease his loneliness. Instead he got an immortal monster of unthinkable evil. He spent the rest of his life trying to destroy the demon. In the end it destroyed him, but not before he imprisoned Edrick. Knowing that the prison would not hold forever, Gamel gave the gift of immortality to Jocelyn, the one man who had ridden beside him, the one man who hated Edrick more than life itself. So for the last six hundred years, Jocelyn has prepared for Edrick's return, honing his skills as a fighter, waiting for the day when he can kill Edrick. That day has finally come, Edrick has escaped and the reign of terror has begun. Charlie, returning from an evening spent visiting her best friend Mara, is attacked. A handsome stranger saves her, but is injured. After inviting the stranger in, she learns that Jocelyn is a member of the Coven, a secret group of witches that was founded by Gamel, and that she, by right of having been given her grandmother's ring
