e-books that had been published, I noticed many of them would not fit into the paper market mold; there was something a bit different about nearly all of them. And the e-book industry itself holds a lot of promise. I loaded an e-book on my husband's Palm Pilot and took it to a baseball game with me. That earned me a few looks, but it was terrific! I would read along, then look up at that moment of drama my husband assures me is in baseball, then go back to the book. It didn't matter if the lights reached because it was backlit. And when I was done, I just slipped it into my purse. Slick. I already warned him I was loading it up with a few books when we go away next time. I hate to lug books with me to a hotel, or worse yet to someone's house when we're staying a few nights. With the Palm, I can load a few and be happy.

The e-publishing experience has been an interesting one, and definitely a learning experience.

What are you currently working on?

At the moment, I'm working on another regency. I have a regency historical slated to come out sometime within the next year with another e-publisher. While it's not a paranormal, it has a different element for the time period.

Will you be writing more about vampires?

Definitely. I keep saying I won't, but Lucien keeps tapping me on the shoulder asking me about another vampire book. I told him he has to wait at least until this other regency is done.

Anything else you would like to add?

One of the reasons I think I don't read too many paranormals or vampire books is because I have a very vivid imagination. They scare me; so one book goes a long way. One of the scariest books I ever read was called "The Devil Rides Out," by Dennis Wheatley. It's an old book, and takes place around the time of World War I. That story stayed with me for many years. When I was talking to someone about scary books, I mentioned it. I was informed that Stephen King had made the same comment about that book! Periodically, I drag it out around Halloween and give myself another good scare.
