you have besides doll making?
Yep, those were mine. I really enjoy doll making -- all those little personalities, and they don't talk back. I also enjoy making their clothes because they don't complain if something is a tad tight or slightly too big! I love to sew, as well as counted cross-stitch and quilting. I don't have the patience to make perfect angles, but I like the quilts I've done regardless. I used to enjoy knitting, but had to give that up. What else would you like to add about yourself? I like to keep busy, and I work really well under pressure. I haven't decided if I'm a "wait-until-the-last minute" person or one who just squeezes more things in. My husband votes on the latter. When I complain I need a few more hours in a day, he wants to know why. "You'll just find more stuff to do." So on to the important stuff. How did you get started writing? I started writing when I was in about the third grade. At least, that's what I remember. At that time the coolest thing in the world was to use a blue Bic ballpoint pen on a yellow pulp school tablet. But, that's a side issue. I started writing because I was too poor to buy books! I was a voracious reader. My parents let me buy practically all the comic books I could read, and the corner store carried books from time to time, which I also bought. I think I read everything in the children's library in town that held even the remotest interest to me. So, when I could no longer find the books I wanted to read, I resorted to writing them. What do you enjoy writing about? Whew! Let me see if I can narrow that down! A lot of different things capture my interest, and where I go with them often depends on how much time I have. Soul Guardian is your first book, what made you choose vampires to write about? Actually, Soul Guardian is my first published book. I wrote another one previously, but cannot manage to get the beginning where it needs to be. It's sitting in my file drawer, and one of these days I will dig it out and do it over. As for vampires-- I've always found the occult and the supernatural to be fascinating. In regards to this particular book, as I sat in church waiting for my kids to finish choir
