Why Labor History?


The purpose of this American Labor History page at Suite101.com is to enlighten you, the reader, on specific events and people in capitalist America. I do not nor will I ever claim to present an impartial and objective analysis of the events and individuals that I will discuss; I will do my best to present the facts of each article in a clear and cogent manner, but you should not be surprised when my opinions are interpolated into the body of work as commentary. My aim is not only to educate but also to provoke enlightened debate, both within an historical and a contemporary context. I sincerely hope that in the end, whether or not you agree with my interpretations, you will come away with a better understanding of this often overlooked portion of America's past.
