The Inescapable Alcatraz

During the last escape from Alcatraz, John Scott swam from the island to the southern part of the Golden Gate Bridge, where he was discovered exhausted but alive. He proved that it could be done, supporting the belief that Morris and the Anglin brothers made it to land. Since their bodies have never been found the case has been kept open. Alcatraz Federal penitentiary was officially closed on March 21, 1963, leaving with it a mysterious legacy as to the fate of those who escaped the “inescapable.”
