Lizzie was not convicted of the murders, but many believed that she was the killer. She lived quite comfortably for another forty years in a respectable house in Fall River, a far cry from the cramped uncomfortable site of the grisly murders. The house still exists today, converted into a museum and bed and breakfast for those brave enough to stay the night!
