Got Gas? The Basics of Fuel Delivery Systems- Part 1When fuel leaves the pump it must pass through a fuel filter before going to the carb. The fuel filter housing is usually mounted on the carburetor where the fuel inlet line runs into it. Some fuel filter may also be small cannisters with a fuel line running into and out of it.
