Travel on the Cheap - Hostelling
Budget some time in to get to know your fellow hostellers.
Most have common rooms with internet access, tv, video games, and even beer gardens. Be intrepid and venture down to say hello to everyone and introduce yourself.
The most important thing is to have fun.
For many women travelling alone hostelling can provide a nice respite from the standard lonely hotel room. There won’t be any room service, but there will be other eager travellers willing to share their tips, and you never know whether one will turn into a travel partner (or free room and board in South Africa!).
