Whether it is a desire to communicate ideas, share an interest, or simply to educate, Themestream is the venue for a motley crew of talented contributors. The website features articles on hundreds of topics including a number of superb essays offering down-to-earth writing advice.
One of my fave writers at Themestream is Janet Thompson, author of two "new-age" books. Janet offers a comical bent on being a writer. The Writer’s Life, It Can Be Done is an inspiring essay on being a writer. But her best article is Procrastinator? Me? I’ll Let You Know Tomorrow. I love this little gem of self-mockery! E-book author Rusty Fischer, author of the e-book Freedom to Freelance, contributes a column of the same name to Themestream. Reversing Rejection doles out heartfelt advice and Themestream: To Post or Not To Post, THAT Is The Question is a not too subtle tribute to the hosting site. Kimberly Ripley offers up a slew of inspirational articles for new writers. Read I Did It And You Can Too first for an insight into Kimberly’s journey to the land of the happily published. Then read two more choice articles: Write In Front of You and Surrounded: A Writer’s Space. Kimberly is a prolific writer, contributing several instructive articles for writers. Check out Kimberly’s Themestream article list. Other articles at Themestream worth reading include: For Help With Your Writing… by David Wilson. A good article for promising journalists. You can also publish your own articles on Themestream. Contributors are paid (a small amount) by page view. The author keeps all rights to the article and you could earn some extra coinage if your articles are popular. For better or worse, readers can offer feedback on the articles in the comment section. The site could even develop into a showcase of your writing! Have you published on Themestream? Drop a note about your experiences in the discussion area!
